What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Local storage is a similar mechanism browsers provide for saving small amounts of data. Together they let a site remember things between page loads and visits.

How we use them

Essential (always on)

Authentication: a secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in after you verify with your one-time code. Without it, the Service can't keep you logged in.
